Borderline Regional Arts began in 1994 as a cooperative with 20 members.
There are now 50 members from both sides of the QLD/NSW border, with Stanthorpe and Tenterfield being the main centres. Borderline aims to encourage artistic expression, personal development, and interaction with other artists via workshops, exhibitions, networking, social gatherings.
Borderline is open to anyone who has an interest in the arts; from the novice to the experienced artist, and to people who just like to follow the local art scene.
Materials provided unless stated otherwise.
Borderline Artists will be showcasing their members at the Summit, right next door to the Alpaca Artisans Shop.
Works are for sale and cover a wide variety of mediums. You can meet the makers all weekend and discuss their techniques, and even buy a piece of local artwork.
During the three days, there will ongoing short workshops by Borderline members, all of which are experienced tutors. This is the ideal time to have a "taster" of what is available for later full workshops throughout the year, right here on the beautiful Granite Belt.
