Yve’s love of clay started in the late seventies when she joined the Stanthorpe Pottery Club. As a part-time potter, she enjoys all three aspects: wheel throwing, hand building and sculpture. Now in retirement and with more time on her hands to play with her favourite subject clay, Yve’s interests lay with the exciting process of Raku firing and water etching with porcelain. Yve completed a three-year part-time certificate course in Studio Ceramics at South Brisbane TAFE and a short sculpture course whilst living in Monterey California. She has had the privilege of attending many workshops throughout the years tutored by talented ceramic artists.

What’s on

There will be two daily demonstrations of wheel throwing (weather permitting) and hand building 10—11am and 2—3pm within the limits of the COVID-safe distancing plan. Visitors can enjoy slide show and video clip of wheel throwing, hand building, glazing, and raku firing of the processes and techniques she uses for the works on display and available for sale.
