ABOUT US
The Granite Belt Art and Craft Trail Open Studio event (GBART) is a not-for-profit arts and cultural tourism engagement event held the last weekend of October every second year. GBART is an incorporated association but is not currently a registered charity. The committee are all volunteers.
The event is designed to showcase the ever-increasing pool of incredible arts and creative talent in the region. Born in response to bushfires and negative zero-water publicity in 2018 it was designed to offer a community wellbeing opportunities that -
- reduce isolation,
- create new income opportunities for individuals and economic uplift for the community,
- galvanize the region’s identity as an arts and cultural tourist destination, and
- inclusiveness – we do not see it as our role to say what is good/bad art or craft – if you are a local artisan and would like to apply, please register your interest with This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. as soon as possible as application kits will be handed out on the CCART bus trip on 6 November 2022 (a free artisan development day to visit our sister trail).
GBART offers the concept of “I can” to locals and visitors to the Granite Belt during the spectacular season of Spring, the most stunning season of all when in addition to wildflowers, blossoms, wine and local produce - Locals and Visitors can…
- Meet our makers;
- Get behind the scenes and have a go, enrol in a class; and “Do” Art and/or craft
