Roslyn Wilson

Painting
Roz began painting fifteen years ago exploring watercolours.
It has now become a passion and whilst life can get in the way, she always has a longing to get to the studio to create.
Painting gives her a great sense of delight and relaxation.
She likes to experiment with loose watercolour, allowing colours to blend on paper before drying to create abstract designs and then finishing with dry brush to create the subject.
Watercolours are her favourite medium, however acrylics, pencil and charcoal are also an option depending on the subject. She likes to create vibrant works with simple, uncomplicated themes.
Her Acrylic work is more defined using bright colours to bring the subjects to focus.
She mostly uses brush strokes to create the subject but can also use rags for blending or palette knives to give movement to an area.
She aims to create a sense of fun, joy and pleasure and exploring Australian themes, still life and and floral compositions.
