Silver Jewellery
Hilary Tillin is a Stanthorpe-based jewellery artist with 14 years of experience making jewellery. British born, she takes her inspiration from places she has visited in Australia and around the world, being drawn to both the broader landscapes and tiny details.
Specialising in contemporary silver jewellery, Hilary enjoys experimenting with different techniques and finding ways to use line, shape, texture, and value in her work. Hilary’s designs also incorporate gemstones or her own handmade glass beads.
Hilary is currently investigating how her sense of place and the associated feelings of tranquility might be conveyed through her jewellery. You can find her work in the Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery boutique. There will also be a selection of her jewellery available at her studio during the Art Trail.
Hilary has participated in a variety of jewellery courses. In particular, she studied at the Brisbane Institute of Art and the Goldsmiths School in Brisbane.
