Krishna Heffernan
Printmaking
Krishna is an Aboriginal woman from the Wiradjuri nation in NSW with family connections to Yorta Yorta people in Victoria. For the past 8 years, she has lived in the Granite Belt Region. Krishna has a passion for art and has been creating collage paintings (using paper and acrylics) for the past 8 years. In the last 2 years, she has branched into Lino printmaking. Her work reflects the area she lives in, near Girraween National Park.
Krishna looks within the scenery to convey the spiritual nature of the elements of the environment. She is fascinated with patterns in objects and conveys this in her Lino print work and collage paintings. If you want to try Lino printmaking, she will be running workshops on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. She will also have an exhibition of her work on display and will be happy to chat with visitors about her art process.
